December 2016/January 2017: Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Flat very comfortable, peaceful and private. We appreciated the little gestures: the welcome tray and Xmas tree with gifts and a visit from a red breasted robin or two. Hope to return sometime in the near future.

H. & M.M, Australia.

July 2016: Had a great holiday. The flat is lovely (the home from home I remember!) Dumpling was divine as always. Weather mixed but didn’t stop us from from getting out to Glencoe, Spean Bridge, Oban and Mallaig. My sister’s first visit but she has loved it! Thanks for the chocolates . Hope to be back again.

B.J & J. S, Gateshead

July 2016: Had a lovely break- cosy and comfortable flat. The bed is very comfy! The weather wasn’t great but we still managed to get up the gondolas, see Ben Nevis through the clouds, Inverlochy Castle, Fort William - Mallaig Jacobite steam train and Glenfinnan monument. Had a good breakfast at Café 115. Thanks very much. Would use this place again if we stayed in Fort William.

June 2015: We spent two fantastic weeks in Fort William with lots of sunshine. Your holiday flat was very nice to relax in after some trips to the breathtaking surroundings of the Highlands of Scotland. We enjoyed looking out of the windows too because of the ever changing of the mountains at the other side of Loch Linnhe. Thank you.

Lovely walk from here to Cow Hill and back or even carry on to Glen Nevis- amazing views and only thee hours return. Also had one day snow-boarding on Nevis range, but got a bit slushy with the sun! some really good long hikes up Stob Ban and the Mamores from Glen Nevis car park (also some lovely shorter walks from there for children). Thank you so much, Eleanor and Neil, for making us feel so welcome- loved the cake. We will return!!

August 2014: Lovely little hideaway- nice and peaceful- everything we needed here. Great place for sight-seeing. Weather not too good, but didn’t put us off. Went for a cruise up the loch, had great cheap meals in the Crofter. Thank you for your welcome tray and lovely dumpling…

 M, W. & J, Blairgowrie

July/August 2014: Had a good time in spite of mixed weather. Walked on footpath/track to Spean Bridge, with bus back. Walked from Corrour station in wild countryside with beautiful mountains all around! Thank you for having me in your super little flat.

 David

July 2014: A wonderful flat, with everything I needed in it. Thank you very much for the cake on arrival: it was very welcome after a long journey. Weather was mixed as is to be expected in the U.K. Plenty of walking/hiking/hill-walking to do in the area and I managed to clock up a fair few miles. I’ve discovered the best time to see the top of Ben Nevis is in the evening- usually during the day the top is covered with clouds. Would love to come again.

 A, Bristol

May 2014: A wonderful flat, a good base for sight-seeing and the walk up Ben Nevis! Weather typically British- rain, sun & wind, but it didn’t stop us doing things. If time permits, take the steam train to Mallaig. Thank you for the cake on arrival- very enjoyable. Would love to come back again.

 C. & F. Butler, Norwich

April 2014: We have enjoyed our stay in your beautifully decorated flat- it is so warm and comfortable. The weather has been excellent too: 10 days dry and sunny, only had rain on our last day! Visited lots of places including Arisaig, Glenfinnan, Loch Ossian,, Glen Nevis, Inchrigh  waterfalls and Inverlochy Castle. Thank you very much for the cake and flowers, a lovely start to our holiday.

  M. & A, Kidderminster

September 2013: What a wonderful week we have had: a a lovely welcoming tray with cake, fresh flowers and teddy. The flat was well equipped indeed. The weather was very kind to us. It was our first time and we loved everywhere we went. Fort William, Oban, Isle of Mull and Iona, Isle of Skye is a fair way to go, but worth it. Glen Coe and the mountain gondola is great if the weather is good. Around every bend, there is another wonderful view, we loved exploring the lochs. Thanks again for the use of your lovely flat.

A.J.

September 2013: A lovely relaxed stay for the four of us- and a great base for exploring this beautiful area. While the weather wasn’t the driest, that did make for spectacular waterfalls! We didn’t let the weather slow us down- we enjoyed a walk up Glen Nevis, a trip round the coast to Mallaig ( and a ferry ride to Skye and back) and even a day trip to Urquhart Castle, Inverness! Would love to come back and do the steam excursion to Mallaig and explore the glens even more.

 J. & M, New Zealand

August/September 2013: Many thanks for your hospitality- we had everything we needed her and I’m sure we will be back. A perfect base for exploring the West Highlands. I would recommend a trip to Seil and Easdale Islands, about 15 miles south of Oban. Seil Island is only accessible via the Clachan Bridge (Atlantic) and Easdale is a short ferry crossing from Seil and only accessible to foot passengers. The train journey to Mallaig from Fort William is memorable (spectacular scenery). I would also recommend a ferry from Mallaig to Inverie (30 minutes) wher you can have a good meal at the remotest pub on mainland U.K, the Old Forge. The only other way to get to this pub is a 14 mile trek  over the mountains. It doesn’t really matter what you do, the scenery is jaw-dropping everywhere. Saw a golden eagle and a couple of buzzards and seals.

 K. & J, St Albans

August 2013: A warm welcome, lovely cottage and beautiful garden. Really enjoyed our stay- many thanks.

The flat is cosy, clean and has got everything for a comfortable stay. June 2013: We had a lovely holiday. The flat is comfortable and a good base. We were made to feel very welcome- thanks for the lovely cake! Also, being shown where the local buses go was particularly useful- especially coming back up from the town centre! We’ve managed to visit plenty of places by bus and train- train to Mallaig, buses to Neptune’s Staircase, and to Nevis Range- and also enjoyed a boat ride on Loch Linnhe with Crannog Cruises. Weather has been good too- only 1 day of solid rain and occasional showers on other days. All in all, a great holiday.

  L. & R, Bristol

June 2013: Enjoyable holiday, though the weather was a bit of a mixed bag. Didn’t get caught in any heavy downpour, though.the weather meant we couldn’t make much use of the lovely patio. Hadn’t been to Fort William for ten years, so we had forgotten how lovely the are is. We will be back before another ten years has passed, I hope.

  D. & S, Northumberland
